washout
« on: May 21, 2009, 10:11:47 AM »
after yesterdays washout, heavy rain and thunderstorms, it looks like we''ve got the same today. with similar weather predicted for next week. whilst this wet weather prevails, any tips from regulars as to what to do here whilst it is raining?

Oh dear. We''re due to arrive very early Saturday morning. Thought it was going to be nice and hot (from various weather reports) but it''s starting to look very wet now!

Has anyone got a reliable local forecast for the next week?

Crossing fingers here.

Thanks!

Jx

We''re due out Monday. from all the reports I can find the weather is supposed to brighten this Sunday, with a thunderstorm on Thursday. Suppose it will be warmer rain than back home ...

when I was there during the first two weeks of may, the forecast seemed quite unreliable - often I saw showers forecast but rarely even saw the clouds. I hope it clears up for you, the local people reckoned the heavy rain a couple of weeks ago would be the end of it for the summer.

Not sure how much there is to do while its raining really, but turkish bath is a very good option one day :o)

Thanks for that :) Hope it stays dry or at least dry-ish!

We''ll definitely amuse ourselves in restaurants and bars if it rains! Can''t go too far wrong...

Cheers,

Jx

Yes, if you like a drink then spending time in the bar is a good option and there are plenty of friendly waiters who have time for a laugh and a chat with you

UPDATE:
The weather has quite frankly been ghastly over the last few days. The whole winter has been wetter than normal I think. There was a few spots of rain this morning and my washing has had to stay outside for yet another day! The sun is now out and trying it''s best to bring the temperature up a bit.

I cannot believe it will continue to rain for much longer so fingers crossed for your holiday.

Home safe... just wanted to report that the weather was GLORIOUS! Well, except for the first day which was very cloudy. Just got hotter and hotter... lovely :)

Had a fab time!
