Has anyone tried the Coast restaurant since it moved to Gironda?  I''m dying to know what it''s like?

Hi

According to the KTLN report on what''s new for this year, the new restaurant on the old Coast site is Kalamaki Lounge & Restaurant.

We are also looking forward to trying the new Coast; it has always been one of our favourites.  They weren''t open when we were there at Easter but we can''t wait for 13 June!

There''s a name from the past-our first meal in Kalkan in 2002 was at the old Kalamaki Pansayon up the side street by the old customs house.

The Coast Gironda restaurant opened a week ago.Nothing has changed much inside. There is a flat panel travertine water fall/ fountain on the side of the lounge but otherwise, the place is the same.Still the best place for a drink before or after a meal. The food is excellent, it also has a slightly different menu to many of the restaurants. It has also been very busy.

Thanks for this info, we are having our wedding do there in 2 weeks so it''s a relief to hear a good report!!! And that the surroundings and food are still great!

That''s one less thing to worry about in my pre-wedding stress!!

Hellothere - Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and you have chosen a beautiful venue.  If they''ve kept it the same as when it was Gironda and the food is as good as it was at Coast it will be be wonderful.  Look forward to hearing an update of how it all went!

Coast is now the Kalamaki Restaurant and is owned and run by the ex-headwaiter from the IBO. His name is Tayfur. The food is excellent. We were his first customers on opening night in April. :D

I'm shocked that Gironda is no longer as we were thinking of getting married there too!

Does Halit still own it?
