Hello. I am new
« on: March 17, 2009, 11:33:27 AM »
Hello everyone.

I have been using this forum for a few weeks now and thought I should introduce myself properly.

I have never been to Kalkan before, but am booked for two weeks in October.
Myself, my husband and 3 kids - 16, 13 and 9 are really looking forward to it.

We live in Scotland and usually holiday in Spain but fancied a change this year.

I have already found out loads of interesting info from this site and go on every day - usually numerous times!!! - to see what new info I can find out.

I have found this website very friendly, informative and easy to use.
I will no doubt have loads of questions before my visit and look forward to replies from you Kalkan experts!!!

Thanks in advance.
 :)

We are staying in Villa Anna Property 63628 on Holiday Rentals.

We are aware it is quite a "hilly" walk from the centre of Kalkan but that doesn''y worry us.
We are used to walking and are hoping that it will stop us putting on the usual holiday weight!!!

Hi dblma
Welcome to the forum. I''m sure you''ll love Kalkan and Turkey, it is different to Spain. Having parents that lived on the Costa del Sol for 15 years and spent many weeks there I think you''ll be pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the place is. :)
Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.

Hiya! If you are using this site several times a day then you''ll know that I am new too - but welcome! It''s great that you and your hubby are going to try Turkey for a change. I''m sure you''ll absolutely love it (though Kalkan probably more expensive than Spain). I''ve only been once before - to Dalyan a couple of years ago. Apart from the super-mozzies it was pretty close to heaven but I''m anticipating Kalkan to be even closer still (and hardly any mozzies at all apparently)  ;D Never been to Scotland but I think I''d like to live in Edinburgh!
