Gardener & Painter recommendations

Hi there
We are looking for a reputable gardener who can also build some flower beds in stone to match the surroundings.
Also can anyone recommend a painter to do a good job at a reasonable price? Looking at previous posts on this subject it looks like some extortionate prices are being quoted!
Any advice would be appreciated.
