I wonder whether CSI: Kalkan would make the same simple mistake they made in Miami; sending a pale skinned, slow moving ginger commanding officer to somewhere with regular 40 degree plus temperatures!

EniÅŸte,

Re the career advice you are obviously very perceptive - I have already done my time in central government, including some crime stats work and a couple of years working in our version of CSI.

Regards

Alan

Jon I was really enjoying going off at a tangent it was taking the sting out of things. Perhaps we could set another thread up on Crime shows we love, and / or actors we would love to shoot!?

I was one of the victims of the burglaries this week and as I had my laptop stolen and therefore have not had internet access since, have just read this thread for the first time.  So....to respond to the original post and the point of this thread....
Tricia is a friend of mine and knowing how very upset and subsequently nervous I was knowing that an intruder had been in my bedroom whilst I was sleeping in my home alone, felt it prudent to make people aware of what had happened and advise that they be more cautious with security.  The Tuesday night quiz is an ideal forum for this as out of season it is largely attended by ex pats.
I am aware that this could happen anywhere in the world and nobody is suggesting that Kalkan is a crime hot spot, however, nor is it unique in that it has no crime problems as some might like to believe.
For those who have made flippant comments about the burglaries, ask yourself this, now you are aware that there have been several break ins here in the last couple of weeks, if your wife/partner/daughter/mother/ friend were sleeping in a home alone in Kalkan at the moment would you be advising them to be extra careful with security when they retired for the night?
