Visiting the Smaller Attractions
« on: February 11, 2009, 02:39:37 PM »
On our last six visits to Kalkan, we''ve been to most of the larger attractions, but not the smaller one''s nearby, as we prefer guided tours to self drive. When we return in September, we would like to visit Patara''s ruins, Letoon, Pinara and Sidyma. Despite their bad press, would it be possible to hire a taxi , preferably with an english speaking driver, to visit these places in one day and what would be the likely cost?

I think you`ll need 2 days.  Pinara and Sidyma/Letoon and Patara

You can also just catch a dolmus to Patara and wander around the ruins. There`s a lot to see and the site is spread over quite a large area so it could easily take most of the day especially if you walk down to the ancient lighthouse and spend some time walking along the beach.
