Bank Charges

I have recently organised my bank in Kalkan to pay electricity bills rather than suffer penalties for late payment. The most recent bill got paid all OK via the bank but the apparant charge  for this service far exceeds what one would expect to pay in UK. I know I should have asked when instructing the bank but what are others experiences.

I am not aware of any charge from Isbank for this service.  Before we were with Sekerbank and paid no service fee for bill payment.

I don''t think Denizbank charge us for the service. They do, however shuffle money around from the current account (bill payment) and daily account (earning interest) and back again. Often they will transfer a round number exceeding the amount to be paid - that''s possibly what you''ve observed.
