New Year Swimmers

Having spent 2 weeks in Kalkan on holiday, I must congratulate the very brave people who did the sponsored swim on New Years Day.  I hope they raised lots of money for that young lad who needs the eye operation.
There seemed to be more dogs scavenging for food this time, looking very thin and sad, has the feeding program I heard about last time stopped now?
Apart from the dog plight, I had a great time as always, and a fantastic New Year meeting all my old friends on the harbour.

Went to KAPSA website as JoanH recommended, but found no mention of any feeding programs at all. 
The last entry in the diary was the 20th August 2008, have they disbanded?

I have posted a few pictures of the Kalkan Loony Dook 2009 and the latest walk from Kayakoy Village to Oludeniz, Sunday January 4th 2009

The weather on the walk was wet but mild with low cloud so the pictures are not the best quality.

Great photos Buster,the weather didnt look to bad for a swim,did any body swim to the islands,its a fair old swim ?

Great photos Buster....but are you SURE you didnt do this swim in August - you all look far too WARM and the weather and sea looks ALL TOO inviting..LOL!
