Please note my statement yesterday about the condition of the horses with one of the companies in Patara was removed as it was deemed as ''advertising''

Having read Jons response to my email. I understand his position in this case. I did not wish to advertise either company but I can see how this may be msunderstood. Suffice to say there are two companies, research carefully before you choose.

Advertising or not I visited one of the riding stables in Patara on Wednesday of this week, the one which has been longest established and received a horrifying shock. The first stable, along the back road heading west from Patara, is obviously properly run with a number of extremely healthy, well cared for, horses. Five minutes up the road I came to the stable which has been in operation, to my knowledge, for more than three years and found, standing in a rickety barn, a horse in a condition which can only be described as disgusting. All relevant animal protection bodies have been informed and I believe the horse has now been moved to a place of safety but I fear it may be too late for that particular animal. I have never witnessed such evidence of negligence and pure cruelty.

The horse discussed previously is now with us the new company.
I would like to thank those involved in saving this horse, without their help and diligence this would not have happened. We will do everything in our power to save her and have called her ''Hope'' as this is what we have for her.
If anyone wants to come and see her they are very welcome.
I will be posting photographs on my face book page, search Janine  Warden on facebook.com the photographs will be uploaded tonight.
