Transfers4U
« on: July 29, 2008, 05:37:08 PM »
Hi all
Has anyone used this company recently? They are coming in the cheapest for our transfer in September, and without being tight, but evey Lira saved means more beer!
Any comments please?

Thanks
Jane

Hi Jane,

Can you let me know the costs they provide?

I have just done a quote to compare and it came back with £68.76 for a shared shuttle service or £211 for a private transfer!

Cheers

Jon

I did the same and got the same quote. £211 for a private taxi is very expensive when compared to an EK transfer or other similar local reputable company. The shuttle service is a bit more reasonable, but I still prefer a private transfer. No hanging about waiting for others, particularly if on a night flight.

we always use bayram/mustafa at ali babas,egemen car rental/tranfers (I think) .
dalaman to kalkan £100 return (£50 each way)for three people,I thought every one was about the same, but £211 seems very steep.

I got the same quote. Is the shuttle service really that bad? £30 can buy alot of beers!

It may be worth you putting a post in the transfer sharing section to see if anyone is on the same or similar flights to yourself.... that way, if you were 2 couples sharing an EK transfer :

£65 for 4 people each way = £130 return = £65 per couple for a return transfer... with that £3.76 you might just get yourself a nice cool Efes and still enjoy a private transfer  ;D

For one person it''s saying £34.38 return on the shuttle. Which is a lot cheaper than £100. Has anybody used them yet?

How often is the Adda Tours shuttle from the airport and does it have scheduled times?

Having just read Transfers4U post I decided to email them to enquire about times, what if there is a delay etc and I got the following reply.

''The shuttle turns up for when your flight arrives so you would not have to wait for a shuttle. The shuttles will meet any flights arriving at the airport. When you make the booking, you put in your flight numbers. The agents in resort use these numbers on your day of arrival to see if there are any delays to your flight so they know what time to be at the airport''.

Sounds as if they just rely on there being more than one booking per flight going to a specifc destination rather than waiting for a few flights.  I might  give it a go when we visit in November but if anyone tries before I would be interested in feedback.

Anne - just beware of booking shuttle transfers out of main season.  I did this once through Adda and when they found I was the only person using the service they charged me a taxi fare for the return journey.

I suppose that they have you over a barrell when it comes to the return journey, but a bit naughty.
What else can you do?
