First time in Kalkan with the Children
« on: June 03, 2008, 12:07:04 PM »
Having bought our Apartment in 2006 and spent the best part of a year furnishing it and kitting it out, the time had come to take the children (13 and 17) for the first time.
Below is a brief list of the things they enjoyed.

Favourite places for friendliness
Omar''s Kitchen
Nur Hotel

Restaurants the children enjoyed the most
Korsan Kebap
The Doner house (opposite Coast)
Doy Doy
Omar''s Kitchen

Favourite Beach Clubs
The one on the Harbour, closely followed by Kalamar Bay

Best activity
Jet skiing, kneeboarding and a ride on Big Mable.
(The guys at Blue Marlin Watersports are 1st class, very safety conscious and very professional)

Best Day out
Saklikent Gorge and the ring rafting afterwards. (I didn''t like that bit, but Mrs B insisted I went with the kids while she relaxed in the bar).

They had a fantastic time and want to come back ASAP. Me I loved having them with us, and it was made even more enjoyable to know that they have fallen in love with the place as well.

Sounds like they had a fab time - and those places are just the sort of places that mine (also aged 17 and 14 love!!).  Happy children = happy parents!  :D

We are arriving in Kalkan next Friday and staying in Kisla ( next to the Patara Prince). Our boys aged 11 and 13 are really looking forward to it. Would love to meet  up with other boys of similar age while out there. We usually like to eat as a family but it would be nice for them to meet up with other boys and have a wander about on their own  and  have a little bit of freedom.

One of the best places for your kids to meet others is the beach clubs. They will have a great time. Kalamar beach club have a trampoline out on the water that my kids loved. But you have 2 beach clubs on your doorstep that might be more convenient.
