Will DVD player play UK DVDs?

Hi,

We are going to be going to a villa with a DVD player. Is it likely to play UK DVDs? I know that I cannot play UK DVDs in the US but was wondering whether Turkey was on the same ''system'' as the UK?

Can anyone help?

I use an Archos http://www.archos.com/?country=global&lang=en with adapters to save hauling hard copy.

Worked well in every villa I''ve rented so far. HTH

you will have no problem at all playing them..you can also buy them out there ..Baris sells them in his shop at the top of the village(100yards from the post office) and the market sells them as well
