Hi

I’ve just followed the link we provide to https://www.evisa.gov.tr/en/ and is working fine.

Are you getting an error?

Some good news to start the season.

The Independent is reporting that the need to buy a visa to visit Turkey will be abolished from the 2nd March 3020.

Yes that would be a while to wait.

Thankfully it's from March 2020 but the less good news is that its an EU deal that will lapse at the end of the year unless a extension is agreed between the UK and Turkey.

I have just read online about the change.   It would be good if it lasted more than this year.   One less thing for visitors to worry about.

I must now e-mail all our guests for this year to let them know they can ignore the section on our information sheet with advice about obtaining visas.  It has come as rather a surprise, I had no idea this was being contemplated.

Apparently it came as a bit of a surprise to the UK government, as they were not included in the EU discussions with Turkey.
