Saklıkent Tubing
« on: August 18, 2019, 06:52:15 PM »
When we come out in October we have an unexpected guest with out, Janet’s daughter, which gives me a partner in crime. For years I have fancied going down the river at Saklıkent on a tube but the shopper has more chance of going to the moon than down a river on a tube, but now I have a partner to do it, does anyone know how much it costs? Not looking at a trip as we’ll have a car and I’ve driven there before, and assume I can book when we get there. She’s already looking forward to a new experience of a Turkish Bath & knows nothing about what to expect. I always go to Atlantis, do they have ladies who bathe the ladies?

Sounds like fun Albie. Never done it so I'm unsure of the cost. I'm sorry I can't help you re the Atlantis but I do know that at the Elixir a lovely lady bathed and massaged me beautifully, gently and respectfully. Another lady gave OH a good pummelling  ;D Highly recommended. I'm not keen on the Elixir hotel due to trying to charge our girls a ridiculous amount of lira while they simply waited for us, but I cannot fault the spa at all and as far as I'm aware it is a separate business.

I went down the rapids once though it's about 10 years ago.  Tiny inflatable, it was good fun until I scraped my back on some rocks. That was down to me not steering away from them. You should be fine and just listen to the instructions they give to you. They provide transport back up to the start line. I can't remember the cost and I booked on the day.

For the cost do not worry you can take a minivan rental and the price is lower with a company like 8rental.com who has very low transport rental packages.
