Chefs at home
« on: April 16, 2008, 10:24:53 AM »
Hi there, Does anybody know of any chefs in Kalkan who would come to the villa circa mid June and cook a Turkish feast for a party of 6? I think it it would be great entertainment to learn to cook authentic Turkish Food with the chef at the same time.I know some villa owners do have chefs to cook for them , but I am not sure how to go about it.Thanks.

A year or so ago we had a BBQ for a goodly number of people and we used Adem. He provided the food , cutlery, crockery etc and a guy to cook the BBQ or the day.  He has now moved to his place on the first bend on the Kas road after passing Kelebeck - who knows he may still do it

My friend Valrerie''s partner is a turkish chef and speaks fluent english. I have been told that he would be prepared to give turkish cooking lessons and /or do private catering for anyone. His name is Kazım and can be contacted at valeriebirdkalkan@yahoo.co.uk

Christine, that''s an interesting coincidence. I just e-mailed Owlsland to see if they''d offer Turkish cookery lessons....so now it seems I might have 2 options.   :)

Thanks for the info.

Hi Christine , thank you for giving me the details for Kazim .We had a few lovely lunches at the villa with friends all cooked by him.The food was absolutely delicious, fresh Turkish food and he was  charming. This is a great alternative to eating out in the restaurants and so little hassle! Thanks again .Jacks
