New to EnjoyKalkan

Hi Everyone, im new.. ive been to Kalkan in 1998, so its been a while! our family are going on the 18th April for 2 weeks, and just wanted some pointers.. we''re staying at the yaz evi villa, haven''t got a clue where it is or whats around it so are going to hire a car.
I know Patara has a lovely beach, so def going there. Anyother places we should visit??? be great if anyone could suggest anything? also my daughter is 6yrs old, so if there is anything of interest for kids..

Hi Maisie,
We have just returned from a two week holiday in kalkan.The weather was a mixture of sunshine and showers,but you''ll be pleased to hear it settled down and last thurs and fri were lovely and sunny,so you should have good weather!!
Patara has a large amphitheatre which your daughter will find interesting.There is a large gorge at saklikent and a sunken city at kekova,where you can get a boat to see the ruins.Another interesting place to visit is Karakoy,a deserted village in the hills near Olu Deniz.Below the village is a restaurant where you cook your meats yourself on a barbeque adjacent to your table.Very cheap and atmospheric.If you like trout,a trip to Islamlar is worth doing.It''s in the hills above Kalkan.
