Beaches around Kalkan
« on: April 02, 2008, 03:08:58 PM »
What is the best way to get to either Patara or Kaputas beach? be via water taxi or by road. Could and tell us, is there any other attractions around these places.

Thanks
Steve

get the dolmus from the bus station..Patara has a village about 1 mile walk on a flat road from the beach,(you will pass the top of the village on the way to the beach)as you come off the beach on the left is an ampitheatre which is a nice stroll ...Kaputas..be very careful it is loads of steps down but is surrounded by rock..it gets really hot and you can sizzle badly if you aren''t protected....they rent brollies out and you should get one..the same goes for Patara..although it is long and flat with a stiff breeze it is decieving...there is a beach restaurant and hire place and it reasonable so don''t spoil your break!!i''m sure you will enjoy both  ;)

Yep - Blue Lizard has said it all with good advice...just a little thing - Patara is a protected nature reserve - so there is a small entry charge per adult to get in..but it really is well worth the visit - as is Kaputas!!

Cheers and enjoy!
