Spiced Rum
« on: July 02, 2015, 04:40:32 PM »
Hi
apologies if this has been asked before, can anyone tell me if spiced dark rum and ginger ale  is available in the supermarkets or bars in Kalkan?

Thanks in advance

They also sell it in small bottles but its not cheap....buy your spiced rum in Duty Free because even if you can get it, it will be extortionate. Dont think I saw spiced rum on any menus - nor ginger ale.
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Most supermarkets, eg Carrefores, Migros sell at some time Schweppes ginger ale, supply is varied so as I drink it a lot on its own I try to but 6 at a time.  Sometimes it's on offer.

Thanks all, looks like the best thing to do then will be to buy my rum from duty free and my ginger ale when I'm there, then all I'll need is a dash of fresh lime and those beautiful views for the perfect dark and stormy  ;D

Spiced rum is my OH tipple of choice and he has yet to find it in bars/restaurants so it's always bought in duty free and when out and not drinking an Efes he usually just opts for rum (unsliced).
