Hi Chris,

I've finally been able to find a free vpn that registers as uk so I can keep up with some of my programmes when there next week.  Course till I get there don't know if it will actually work...  but it's freeukvpn.co.uk

Seems to have a rolling password that you need to check on the home site & re-enter new one if it won't connect.

Been trying to do this for a while (several years as usually visit October & miss the first few episodes of Strictly  ;D) but this time I just Googled & there seems to be a number that are variations of free/uk/vpn.

Good Luck,

LL

I 've been using Tunnel Bear which seems to work well on Pc, ios and Android. You get a free 500mb per month and you can upgrade to unlimited for just a month if you need to. The app is free to download on google play store, Apple appstore or on their website.

PC advisor magazine has an article describing the pros and cons, together with some of the things some V|PNs will do to your machine.  read it at http://tinyurl.com/qcuu5ov.

All of the free ones come with some sort of limitations, though I have found http://freevpnaccess.com/ to be less annoying than most.  This also changes the password regularly, but, by my experience, has reasonable performance and doesn't need to much tinkering.

There's loads out there - you have to try them out, and find what works with you, but noting the caveats on the PCAdvisor article and anything else you may find.

I use Tunnelbear too, paid £2.99 for a month's unlimited download.  Works very well.

Just switched from my-private-network.co.uk, to HMA (hide-my-ass) because of the greatly expanded selection of countries and IPs and the vastly faster downloads.
