Large Boat/Gulet?
« on: March 19, 2008, 07:50:43 PM »
Hi all,

As I keep banging on about  ::) we''re getting married in Kalkan in October, I''ve already had loads of help from this forum, thank you all  :) We''ve got quite a few people coming out to spend the week in Kalkan with us and, as a way of saying thank you to them all, I was hoping to arrage a gulet trip for the day after the wedding.

I thought that this would be easy as there''s lot of great recommendations on this forum already, but as the guest list has expanded we now need a boat that would comfortably hold about 35 people.

Does anybody know of a big gulet that might be suitable? I know it might be better to have two boats but I''d love it if we could all be on one boat.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

mang

Sounds lovely mang. The Regency Hotel Gulet is huge and very swish, they might be able to accommodate you. Not sure if it''s for Exclusive Escape guests only though.

Wow that sounds a lovely idea and how lovely so many people are coming to Kalkan for your wedding, there might be a boat that does everyone as it would be nice to be together however if you needed 2 they will I am sure sail close stop off at the same swimming spots and you could then all chop and change boats and swim together and sit on which ever boat you wanted too, hope you have a super super time. We booked our gulet through ADDA tours it was very easy however there was only our family and 1 other on board a total of 9 people we had a deck each.

I don''t think the Posiedon that the Regency could hold that many people, also it is normally solely for Exclusive Escapes guests. There is the Falcon boat and I believe another is being made to be a double decker - not sure of their maximum accupancy though. Perhaps Mangmang, the people who you mentioned are arranging your wedding can speak with the owners for you.

Hi mangmang, Adda Tours have a large boat ''Adda I'' and I believe it has capacity for approx 40 people.  Would certainly be worth emailing them.

Romantik looks like a fairly large boat - the Exclusive Escapes boat is only for Exclusive Escapes guests - sadly  :(
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)
