Out of Season updates

Thank you so much for keeping us up to date over the winter DRBD, definitely brightened up the long winter days reading your posts.  We come out on Friday, only 5 more sleeps, and definitely on count down now. Looking forward to seeing Kalkan again, even if everything is still work in progress and not fully open yet.  Lots of places to visit as we have a hire car again.  We are keeping our eye on the weather, looks a bit mixed but we have our fleeces ready to pack.  Haybo there may possibly be a holiday report or two for you to read!

Very many thanks to you for the kind words, I would just advise anyone coming out within the next couple of weeks that maybe an extra cardy could be a good idea as the there is a definite chill in the air especially in the evenings, out with friends last night & we were all feeling quite cold indoors around a fire.  Behind the glass or in sheltered places, fine & remember wherever you may be staying the property may be a little cooler in the evenings too if they have been left over the winter.

Definitely pack layers, I was wearing short sleeve t shirt earlier,  now wearing t shirt, long sleeve top, jumper, gilet and scarf, about to put gloves on!!! The sun is still shinning though x

I can only echo what everyone else has said. Thank you so much for keeping kalkan alive for us over this long and dreary winter.
I'm going to be so envious of all you lot enjoying Easter in kalkan. First time in 3 years that we won't be there

Once again my thanks to you all who have found the updates of some use & enjoyed reading them.  I have, as previously said, enjoyed writing them & to be perfectly honest they have done me good in the fact that instead of just walking about Kalkan & surrounding areas  & taking it for granted I have been more observant. I have reported on what we have seen & been told directly by people involved & not hearsay.   We have always enjoyed being here out of season seeing the wild spring flowers, the orange trees in fruit etc but this year there seemed to be more to take in.   I also think it important that people are aware as to how different Kalkan is out of season, certainly not the 'paradise' as some see it, although lovely it certainly has it's moments in various ways.

The past few days have been very cold & yesterday it rained all day, thankfully gentle rain, but today is sunshine warmer but cloudy, great to get the washing dry .
