I keep trying to persuade someone in Kalkan to invest in a Personal Weather Station (PWS), so far to no avail, but there is (apparently) now one in Kaş!

Just got back yesterday & the weather over the last week has been really weird for June.
Last Thursday it was really windy & the last few days have been mixed with cloud, sunshine & rain. There was a sprinkling of rain on Saturday & Sunday evenings & both evenings were fairly cool. Not what we are used to.

As you're so keen why not buy one yourself and donate it to KTLN? Just a thought...

pw:  If I did, I wouldn't be able to afford to go to Kalkan!  They're not silly prices (but can be), and currently my disposable income here is focused on being able to get to Kalkan at least once!

I would have thought it would have been a big marketing opportunity for someone to have "Hosted by ..." on the weather reports.

I only suggested it because, for many people who long for Kalkan from afar, they like to know these silly details, (and dream) and are always asking here and on KTLN.  For the people in Kalkan, it's a case of "look out the window", or up.

And finally, yes, I have conversed with KTLN about it, pursuant to the above problems!  KTLN appear to be amenable to using the data, but first we need data!

If you just want a PWS that has a display on your table. yes, it can be done.

But to do it with the necessary self-emptying rainfall gauge, wind direction and anemometer would be £100 upward.

What pushes the cost up more is getting the information onto a webpage.

I've just done a quick calc online, and to get a decent one to do that would cost £3-500!
