pool LED lights
« on: April 14, 2014, 10:41:49 PM »
for information..
Swapped out our pool lights this year... the 'normal' pool lights are 12v 300watt bulbs, there is now a direct replacement led bulb available in 15-20watt sizes, ask your poolman or Fethiye lighting shop.. price of a 300watt bulb is about 125TL and the LED version between 170 and 220TL but big saving over the lifetime.. 8) 8)

Hobbo can I ask where you bought the bulbs/lights from? Did you just buy replacement bulbs or did you have to buy complete new lights?
Thanks

Charlie.
They are direct replacement bulbs, that fit into the existing housing, 12v 20watt PAR64s,  Baypool (a Kalkan based company, just along from the market)  supplied and fitted mine whilst cleaning my pool, (they are easier to fit when the pool is empty, can be done full but presume your pool man would prefer warmer water!) I also saw the bulbs at the 'Fethiye lighting shop' the shop is an amazing place and well worth a trip to Fethiye just to visit! ' the shop is well known and well signposted , turn off the D400 at the 1st Fethiye junction, then after a short while where you turn left again to head into Central Fethiye you go straight on down a track following the signs to the shop..

Thanks very much Hobbo.  We're going to Kalkan next week so will call into the Baypool shop then.
Cheers Charlie
