Just shout up if you have any questions.....hopefully the Old Town roadworks will be a distant (bad) memory by the time you arrive in Kalkan.

Welcome aboard...Kalkan is an hour further on than calis...not as commercial and very laid back and something for every price range..fire away with questions or use the search (magnifying icon at the top of the page)to locate old threads and info

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I'm sure you'll love Kalkan - different to Calis but beautiful (hopefully when the roads are back to normal) and unique. Also a good base for exploring eg Kas, Patara, Sakklikent, Kekova, Kaputas etc etc!
If you love good food and a chilled atmosphere, then you'll have a fab time.

Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you'll find out everything you need to know on here. Our first venture to Turkey was to calis Beach and we enjoyed it, in fact we stop off there on our way back to Dalaman for breakfast. However, although only about 50 k apart they are like chalk & cheese, flat beach side resort versus a rocky village with a harbour, full English breakfast versus Turkish cuisine restaurants, a clicky Internet forum compared to this site of knowledge & advice.
We stayed at Calis twice before trying somewhere further north and then came back south and discovered Kalkan by sheer chance, now I can't get my wife to go anywhere else, she loves the place, it's beauty (hopefully the road works will be finished), it's friendliness, her favourite silver shop, until we came here it was always gold, the great food, the brilliant boat trips, she hates the sea but always wants to go out on the Yildiz boats, the quaint old town etc. have I sold it to you yet?
I'm sure you will have a lovely time but beware it is infectious.
