it was a simple question. we have been coming to kalkan for christmas /new year for approx ten years or more. Fenner has always been open. and also when we come in march . we had lunch there three times last week and there was no mention of it being closed.

why is it satovod that whenever you reply to any postings on this forum your response is always sarcastic , negative or both?  ???

we too have been there at this time of year for the past few years and always found it open and as for the time of year? Doesn't seem to matter there are usually locals as well as resident ex-pats on a daily basis, so it is a little odd, maybe an ex-pat will be able to shed some light on it?

Fener has been open as amber stated we have been there, the weather last week here was really awful, gale force winds & rain, we usually have a walk down that way but stayed indoors or closer to home during this time like many others.  There are far fewer people here this year so these could be just 2 of the reasons Fener is open some days & not others.  Hope this helps.

Fener is open today Samsun. I am sitting there now having an Efes Dark in the sun and listening to the waves break on the beach. The reason for closure has mainly been bad weather. Kalkan is exceptionally quiet at the moment compared to previous years, but is it any wonder when the town looks like it has been struck by an earthquake? I have spoken to some disappointed visitors who vow never to return. The powers that be seem hellbent on killing the goose that laid the golden egg.
