Wellington boots
« on: October 04, 2013, 01:32:51 PM »
Can anyone please tell us whether it is possible to buy welllington boots in either Kalkan or, more likely, Fethiye and, if so, where?  Or do we need to bring them over from the UK?

Saw some in Migros in Fethiye at the beginning of the week, mainly ladies & childrens.  We have got some of those yellow ones that the workmen wear but to be honest they are not very comfortable,we got them in Kalkan some years ago. Have thought of bringing some over from the UK even though they are heavy, much better.

Welly weather on its way perhaps ...........................................

Whoah, hang on do you know something about the weather forecast that we don't? Am I packing a poncho & wellies as opposed to shorts & plimsolls?

Dozens of shoe shops in Fethiye have them in a variety of styles for men and women. Good quality and much cheaper than U.K.

Wellies? You won't be need them till January. I saw some in Fethiye, near the fish market. They had loads in there. I think it was a fishing shop.

I got some lovely trendy willies (well for a woman anyway!!) in a shoe shop in Kas - cheap as well - about 25 lira - so no need to bring them from the UK. :)

Yes Bee, totally inappropriate. Fi has had her colours done and can't/won't wear yellow...
