Steaks in Kalkan
« on: May 27, 2013, 09:29:02 AM »
Spoke to a friend last night who has just come back from Icmeler. She waas not happy with the way the prices have soared. She also said people were talking about prices of steaks in Kalkan costing 60 tl. I told her that proably they were talking about the whole meal price as we have never paid that amount and if true then someone on this forum would have complained by now.

It would be interesting to hear if anyone has paid that  price for a steak!

If I remember correctly when we were there in early May steaks in Mussaka, Kalamaki and Alternative were in the high 30's (lira). Marina restaurant have a 40 lira deal for mezes and any steak meal on their menu..very good value but their wine is dearer than most places.
Our overall spend on restaurant food (eating out every night but not in the day)was very similar to last October. The tax on beer and wine has gone up so it is slightly dearer but the £ to the lira is still good.
