Transferring Sterling
« on: February 07, 2008, 05:45:47 PM »
Hi Folks

Bit of a random one but, we purchased a villa in Kalkan last summer and have finally got all our bank ''stuff'' in order. I am looking for some advice about transferring Sterling from a UK account to a Sterling account at Denizbank. I have made a few transfers from my bank but it cost £28 each time and now we want to make a regular monthly transfer, but not having to pay £28 each time. I have been on a couple of website but was really looking to see if anyone had any personal recommendations. Thanks in advance.  :D

Many people take out a lump sum and bank it then, although you must be careful how much you take out.  Not sure of any cheaper way of doing it.  Have discovered though that some banks charge much more than others, it will be interesting to hear what others have to say.

Be wary about taking lump sums, I think Vicksen has covered this on another thread?
