kalkan supermarkets

On returning to kalkan this year i was surprised to see how much stuff has gone up in price in the supermarkets , after talking to one of the waiters at doi doi about this  he told me that if you go to the supermarket in kas its half the price , Are the prices bumped up to flees us Brits ?
