May Day in Kalkan

Here we are, having lunch at Fener Cafe, had to find a table in the shade because it is so hot!!!
We left home in freezing, damp weather and 24 hours later we are basking in warm Turkish sun.  The best part is that this is the 1st day of a 3 week stay.  Most places are open and the smell of fresh paint is in the air.  Beach clubs will all be open in a few days I'm told and we are off now to find out when Sea Bella is starting the day trips.  Deeply joyful.

Oooh lucky you we love having lunch at Fener, you have made me feel sooo jealous as it is freezing and blowing a gale here up north, Isn't that the best feeling in the world when it is yr 1st day and you look forward to rest of your time there, we will be exactly the same in 6 weeks happy days, enjoy.

Thanks Charlie. They opened today and gave us a warm welcome.
We are having dinner at White Table - what an unusual menu. Will report on the food in the fullness of time. This is just the best.

Odd that you should say that Fener opened May 1...we've always found that they stay open all year ... its always a 'must do' when we visit at Easter for the 'setting up' trip
