Taking other people's children to Turkey

Hi There! Hoping someone can help.... We're bringing our children's two friends on holiday with us this year (aged 17 & 15). Does anybody know if I need to get some sort of official paperwork, or will a letter signed by their parents suffice? Thankyou in advance!

We've brought daughters friends with us a few times and didn't take anything with us (not even a letter) just lots of money!!

We brought friends of our daughter at 16 and 17 and agree with turkeyfan.... You need plenty of money, lots of patience and agreed ground rules......but saying that we had brilliant holidays!

If they are under 18 I think you need to inform their insurance company that they won't be travelling with parents.

We brought a friend of our granddaughter with us last year and had a letter from her parents, giving us permission to have her with us. We were advised at passport control on our return that we should also have had a photocopy of her parents' passports.

All sounds like sensible advice, maybe passport control has tightened up in the last few years, it's 4 or 5 years ago that we took a friend under 18. I have to say that the year we took our two daughters and two friends was one of our favourite Kalkan holidays.....until we went just as a couple
