« on: March 06, 2011, 11:39:30 PM »
Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a Dolmus from Dalaman airport to Kalkan? If so how much roughly is it and how long does it take?

thanks

Simon

As far as I am aware, no. You would have to get a taxi from the airport into Dalaman town, dolmus from there to Fethiye and a further dolmus from Fethiye to Kalkan.
A taxi from Dalaman airport to Kalkan is expensive.
Further option is to either hire a car that you pick up at the airport or arrange a private transferfrom the airport.

Check out "Transfer dalaman kalkan" in the search part. This will give you information about a variety of transfer options. I also think Travel Republic offer transfers at a reasonable price. it might be another company, if so someone will I'm sure be along to say.

Thomas Cook do too, via http://www.transfers4u.com/default.aspx?PartnerId=flytcdirect.

As Denners said, it costs a lot to get off the airport by taxi and into Dalaman, about £10 around 5 years ago as I recall. The dolmus into Fethiye are fairly regular. However, if you arrive in Fethiye after 18.15, there is no bus to Kalkan until around 06.30 the next morning.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

If you are arriving on a Turkish Airlines flight the Havas bus links up with arriving flights, this takes you directly from the airport to Fethiye Otogar, cost 20tl.

I've used Transfers4U on several occasions when travelling alone and have found them to provide excellent service - last year they charged £36 return from Dalaman to Kalkan.  However, I don't think they operate out of season so it would depend on when you are going.

Vally,
Sorry, missed the second part of your question when I first answered.

It takes 10 mins into Dalaman, 1 - 1.5hrs into Fethiye and 2 hrs to Kalkan. Timings on the dolmus are always approximate. (And depend on whether the driver detours to drop off someone or something, chat to friends and etc.)
