Tour companies would be reluctant to take bookings for August as someone previously said - it is very quiet this year and he would have no idea at this stage if the tour would go ahead.  Better to wait until you get here and then book it, he will have more idea of whether or not it will run.

Have you been to Wapiano this year? Any good? I thought it was good last year when Ewan'smate Zack had it.

Without meaning to derail Thelma & Louise's thread, what do people think of Botanik's cocktails this year ?  I was planning on many an evening there but of a group of 3 not one we had was especially good/the same as last year !  Especially the Bellini that was some tasteless frozen slushy type thing

Was the shirt shop you went into Tufanlar the tailor ?  He looks like an old hippy with bushy beard & head bandana, his daughter has a constant smile.  They can make anything you want in your choice of fabric & size within a few days.  My friend always has shirts made for her grandson.

We've been going to Chillies since it opened on Kalamar Road, chatted to both Ewan and Ufuk and didn't know half!

As for the attitude of it being quiet - how does it compare, say, to 2008? (When it was relatively quieter and all things were possible.)

Lucy Lou, friends of ours who have just come back from Kalkan went to Botanik on our recommendation as it's been a favourite the last couple of years......they weren't at all impressed with the cocktails and said it was very rowdy! Really surprised to hear, maybe a change of bar staff?

Thanks for your reports Haybo, sounds like you and Nat had a whale of a time and I bet it won't be her last visit.

Lucky you back again so soon. It's exactly one month today when we arrive and look forward to rubbing (suntanned  ) shoulders with you there.

Happy for the thread to frift...if new info is coming out then I must have done something right. 

Botanik....it was my first visit so can't compare, BUT I did expect something very different from my mudslide. It was quite watery.  Nat had a strawberry basil thingand they came straight away, as if already made.  Loved the location though and kniwing from here that it has griwn from nothing is amazing.

Must catch up with Nat this week to get her input to a final report...she has of course fallen for Kalkan but wants it to be here guilty pleasure so has no plans to take her kids!

Would love to hear a final report and to hear what Nat thought as a first time visitor......has she got the bug!
Amazingly I know three people who have never returned......but many more who have!

Haybo thank you for your posts, thoroughly enjoyed reading them, imagine you are sad your holiday is over but on the other hand you must be so happy that you will be in Kalkan in a few weeks.  Glad Nat has got the Kalkan bug and sounds like she will be returning too in the future  .  Re Kekova, Define Tours are taking bookings.  We have 10 more sleeps, can't believe it is almost here!

Looking forward to catching up in August and also looking forward to your final report
