October time and the living is easy

The plane is nearly full but the service is Easyjet efficient and you allow your 1/2 bottle of Champagne to relax you and fall asleep, a late departure and some re-routing means that you are only a few minutes late touching down in Dalaman. Then a fast (but not the fastest!) transfer of 1h25mins by Volume Travel as recommend get you eficiently to your destination.

Its late but a fresh and slightly warm breeze encourages a trip into town for a quick drink and walk around. It's quiet but not dead and a few places have more that half a dozen people in. Some restaurants are wrapped and gone as are a few of the shops. Locals seem very chilled and ready for the end of season which seems to be between 29th October and 3rd November depending on who you ask

Some Merkez time later its back up the road to sit on the terrace and with a whisky in hand you just relax looking at that view of the bay, the town and the lights, its the start of another great week in Kalkan.

Sounds like the start of a wonderful holiday Hayman. I'm looking forward to hearing about how you settle in and what you get up to in Kalkan in late October. Enjoy every minute.  :)

So are you weird being here the last week in October? Did you see that amazing sunset tonight?

Kalkan in October is just fantastic, we have swam in the sea three times yesterday its 25+

Yesterday was a full day at Indigo Beach club with such friendy staff and that amazing view.

Drinks at Fountain, dinner at Olive Garden, simply the best in Kalkan.

Negative is the barking dogs, they need to go.

Always in shorts, chilled time, no probs.

Please not the dogs again and where exactly do you think they should go to?  :'( Comments like that are maybe just what starts the heartbreaking poisonings especially during a difficult season.

I'm with you itstime.....we were there for ten days and came back last week. We heard dogs, once, through our open bathroom window, at about 6am. A couple of nights ago in our sleepy village I heard a dog barking on and off all night, and when the owl joins in, well......
Enjoy your holiday Hayman, maybe just check your bathroom window is closed?
