Fantastic we're coming back

After much soul searching and researching other places yet again we plumped for our fave place. Thirteen times since 2008 guess we're addicts.Missed last year as my dear Mum passed away as it was our silver wedding we decided we just had to celebrate it in KALKAN this year. Managed to get a good deal on a four bed villa just behind Carrefour so great for walking. One mad rush to sort the clothes and ODs and sods out as we're out there two weeks today have to get the old faithful dresses out of hibernation. Well all of you out there have a great time don't drink all the efes need plenty of it to manage all those hills well that's our excuse anyhow.

Good for you Clara...i lost dear old dad this year shortly before my hols in June but I know he would have still wanted me to go to Kalkan..I had a beer or two for him!! in fact I was escorted home by a pack of tortoises one particular night
You just know what you are going to get with kalkan!!

How lovely we too will be out there in a couple of weeks. Can't wait meeting up with old friends in our most favourite place. First I have a Christmas Party to organise on Saturday. Have you seen the UK weather forecast. Oh  well I suppose if you're having a Christmas party in August you can't expect wall to wall sunshine can you?

Thanks Blue Lizard, so sorry to hear about your Dad. It'll be a year since Mam went when we're out there and we also will be raising a few glasses to her and I'm sure she too would be pleased as punch we got there this year, even though she used to worry herself sick until we got home safe bless her. Think the only thing that might follow us home is the odd mutt or four, think I'd prefer a gang of tortoises, can't catch you up as quickly and not likely to use their teeth. Have they got teeth? I'm no David Attenborough!!

You'd be surprised at how fast a tortoise can move. I've often had one chase me in the garden to try and bite my toes. Even with no teeth, they can give a nasty nip!

Thanks all for replying. Joycie good luck with your festivities, we're off to Somerset to our caravan to take down the awning as it has to come down after the bank hols and we'll be away and lo and behold amber weather warning for very high winds by the coast on Saturday. Should be fun so if you look up see someone being swept away clinging to a piece of canvas it's not the old man from the film UP it'll be my other half. Never know he might reach Turkey before me. Good luck with your Christmas do hope Santa makes it despite the weather although if he can cope with snow what's a wet and windy English afternoon!!

So glad you decided to come back Clara50. It's as lovely as ever here and so peaceful this morning. The pool gurgling away and the birds twittering are about the only noises I can hear as I drink my morning coffee and gaze over mouse and snake.

A bit different here today(south coast) we are being battered by high winds...next door neighbours metal pole parasol snapped in half and now it's raining again,,,,,,,,only 289 days to go till kalkan time

Nice to hear that you are returning to Kalkan Clara50.......we're looking forward to our next visit in June next year. It can't come quick enough for us!!! Having read the holiday reports Kalkan is as good as ever and  still delivering value for money and the perfect holiday experience☺☺☺
