Antler's Close Shave..........

• The Kalkan sunrise woke me up this morning and boy did thatfeel good.
   
  Jet2 from Leeds Bradford arrived 45 minutes early last nightand with Abitours waiting at the “Meeters” point, we were out of DalamanAirport by 11.00pm.
   
  The apple tea at the Comfort Break en route was a treat, butthe bigger treat was to come. The sight of Kalkan Bay as you come around thecorner and the twinkling lights run down to the sea and beyond is juststunning. It was 12.45am. We had arrived.
   
  I set the alarm for 8am, determined to get that shave.
   
  The first coiffeur open was Safter, right next door toSaffron Restaurant. I was expecting the sensation to be somewhat less than myfirst Turkish shave, which was right at the end of last years’ holiday. But notso with Eddie. But then, after 23years experience I guess he would be gettingit right.
   
  Whatever it is that these guys touch in my neck makes everyhair on my legs stand on end and it runs right down and out through my toes. Itwas, and is, a fantastic experience. – for less than a fiver.
   
  And with 17 days spread out in front of me, today’s shavewas only the first.
