Renewing Visa in Meis

Has anyone renewed their Visa after 180 days by having an overnight in Meis and coming back over on day 181 with a new Visa?

Providing you haven't overstayed your 90 days on the first 180 day visa, and you apply on-line for a new eVisa beforehand, your plan should work.  A number of us will be waiting to hear  about the experience.

As far as I'm aware, this is now no longer possible due to recently introduced visa and residency rules.
