I can confirm that I received the same information from the Kalkan accountant yesterday evening.
It was attached to the usual yearly e-mail asking for information / details of rental income for 2017.

My accountant in the UK says that if the 'sale' was made in the UK and paid in UK GBP then how can sales tax be paid in Turkey?

Tax should be paid on the income less expenses but not KVD unless invoiced and paid in Turkey.

Any thoughts?

I think vat (kvd)is normally paid in the place of “supply”rather than the place of payment.
