« on: June 03, 2013, 10:16:39 AM »
With all that is going on In Turkey at the moment, has anyone any info about Dalaman and the surrounding areas, demos and the like ... I have friends in Antalya,Izmir and Istanbul who are keeping me informed ,and I know Antalya has problems at the moment .... Along with Izmir and Istanbul, and from what my friends are telling me,what we see on the news is nothing compared to the reality of what is going on .... it is really bad .
Any info please,I will be at Dalaman on saturday, thanks     :o

There is an article that should reassure you on KTLN..it seems no problems in the area...( a crash helmet with your swim shorts by the pool isn't needed just yet) ;)
People Of Britain.. When your missus asks "Does my bum look big in this? Never say "Dunno your blocking the light."... just sayin ????

The only unrest in Kalkan at the moment is caused by a surfeit of Efes and chillies.
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Pedant! me?

Kalkan is as peaceful, calm and beautiful as ever. There was a peaceful meeting yesterday evening to allow people to show solidarity to the protestors but thats the only difference we have seen.Of course people are following the events as best they can through tv,social networking etc. There have been other peaceful meetings in towns along the coast and that is how the turkish people want to continue their protests. They want to be allowed to speak out when they see wrong......

Kalkan is still a little piece of paradise!!
