The Harbour

Good report on KTLN about the new development of the harbour...although the new bit looks OK after you get used to it I'm glad the other part from Gusto to the Marina looks to have been put on hold.I kind of like the more Higgeldy Piggeldy effect of old towns be it Turkish or British and it will give the businesses a break after a tough season too ;)

Came back last week and pleased how well the harbour is starting to look. Had a few drinks in a few places and a meal in trio and the astmosphere was relaxing if a little quiet. Talked to many restaurant people and they did say how they'd been struggling and wished brits especially would realise how safe it is there and it felt just like always. Did notice just about every place  was trying to drag us in but under the circumstances who can blame them.Worried about Dalaman going home have to say business as usual in fact the security staff seemed more jovial than usual, smiles all around. I did beep twice and even the friskers were smiling along with me, not the sombre faces seemed not the norm but really pleasant. All in all felt really safe the only terrifying part was the price of the efes six quid a tin OMG savoured every mouthful. Roll on next year!
