Posting Pictures

Posting Pictures in EnjoyKalkan is not easy - it's down to the way the forum software (Simple Machines Forum) works.

Biggest problem is the fact that the picture has to be uploaded somewhere to be embedded.  There are numerous sites that allow this - you'll have to choose the one that suits you.

Once you have uploaded you need the URL of the picture you uploaded and add that between the tags that you get when you select Insert Image from the icons above.

I tried earlier to post a photo on the Gallery & failed miserably, only had a couple of hundred from the other week to choose from

It's the way the program that makes the Forum work that has the issue posting problems so difficult.

Basically, the Forum itself does not host any pictures on it's site.  They have to be put somewhere else on the internet, and the forum then downloads it it display it.  You don't actually see that happening, it's all behind the scenes.

This means that the site hosting the Forum doesn't have to have storage devoted to zillions of pictures - storage costs money, so it's left to third parties to store the pictures.

So, effectively, you must upload your picture to somewhere else (search 'picture hosting' on Google or whatever) and choose who to use.  Free is probably best!

You'll have to do the usual registering and Terms and Conditions stuff, then upload the picture, and note (or copy and paste) the URL (or link) to add this to your post (between the {img}{/img} tags, thus:

{img}http://tinyurl.com/pptapln{[/img}

(I've used {} instead of [] to demonstrate here, otherwise the instructions will disappear)

That should do it.

Note that this appears to be the same for the gallery also!
