Districts of Kalkan
« on: May 19, 2008, 05:18:43 PM »
Will be shortly in Kalkan for the sixth time, but still don''t know exactly where the Districts of the town that I have heard of actually are -Kisla, Kiziltas, Komerluk, Ortaalan and Kordere.  Anyone know, and are there others?

Hi
There is a map on this link      http://www.msjrealestate.com/kalkan-property-kalkan-map.html

I hope it is not classed as advertising [if so I apologise ] as I have absolutely no connection with them and wouldn''t know them if I tripped over them in the street [after a few Efes even ]

Kördere is the area overlooking Kalkan along and under the Bezirgan Road.

The estate agent''s map shows Ortaalan somewhere high above the Kalamar road, yet some of its villas with that adress seem to be around the new bus station !?

Our Apartment''s address is in Ortaalan and it is below the Bus Station, in fact it is behind the Nur Hotel.
Nothing is really work unless you would rather be doing something else.

You obviously have experience of lace curtains. Do you twitch left or right?

We are actually in the Nur (apartments) and the address on our TAPU is also Ortaalan, despite us being on the main road.  Baris seems to be convinced that with the council offices being just over the road, plus new bank branches and  with the bus station now being further up the hill and the new road coming in by the petrol station, Ortalaan will become the "centre" of Kalkan.

Apparently that''s why his dad built the Nur Hotel there fifteen years ago - because he could see all that happening.... I''m not so sure. At least not for a few more years.

I hope not - I like being near enough but far enough to be away from the noise and hustle bustle..!!  :)
