Camels
« on: April 01, 2019, 10:47:39 AM »
A new business is starting up in Kalkan for this years holiday season. Camels will be available from the bus station to take you to the top of the village at a leisurely pace, great for those who aren't in a hurry! mr Ali umper owner said  "we only go top of the village and not down big hill as coming back if we have a big tourist it not fair on camels. Our Camels are well treated and are like families to us we rescue from south turkey where other camels keep wrestling them, now they are safe..we wish all tourists come and see us and have happy holidays " the camel stop will be at the bus station and also at the taxi rank not to be confused with the Kamil Koc stop it will just say "camels" you will also be able to have your photo taken if you don't fancy a ride..

The next new day trip from Kalkan harbour is whale spotting. Could be better than trying to spot the sharks in my local shopping centre.

Brilliant. Can't wait until June when we will see these magnificent beasts.I imagine KAPSA will be involved over the winter setting up winter feeding stations for them.
Thank you BL. A  ray of sunshine and laughter, much needed with the B****t debacle.

Well done BL.   KTLN used to have "something special" on 1st April and I thought we wouldn't have anything Kalkan related this year.   I didn't see this post until today but it still brought a smile to my face.

Glad to oblige...I normally try and put a gentle wind-up on 1st april....last year I put one about pork scanners being fitted at Dalaman to catch people bringing pork into Turkey.A lady we met told me she didn't bring her Pork produce incase it was true.I did of course tell her she was a silly Sausage ;D >:D
