Sun Transfers
« on: February 25, 2011, 12:03:22 PM »
I was looking for transfers for 6 of us from Antalya for New Year, and came across www.suntransfers.com. They are quoting 155.00€ or £132 each way. Very reasonable compared to the local Kalkan operators we have used in the past. Has anyone used them?

and Brave Tours are only £95 each way too.  Personally I'd go with one of the local operators.

Appreciate the info folks. But, didn't several people complain about various aspects of Adda's service last year? Not turning up? Old wreck of a transfer vehicle?

Can highly recommend Brave Tours.  Brand new vehicles, very pleasant and careful drivers.  Complimentary water and face/hand wipes.  Excellent service.  Their new office is situated at the roundabout beside the small fruit & veg shop.

We have been working very closely with Adda to ensure an excellent service, you will notice this season everything is Adda branded also as they are confident any issues have been ironed out along with a brand new fleet of cars :)

Dont forget that you can do the journey by public transport.
20 lira on the bus from Kalkan to Antalya bus station then 10 lira from there to the airport.
Its good if you have plenty of time and saves money, especially if you are travelling on your own.

Abi travel are very reliable as well, we always use them and recommend our guests as they have never once let us down in 6 years, the cars are all up to date new models, they are comfortable and clean and their drivers are the most courteous we have come across since living/holidaying in Turkey.

Hi,
Have to say that we were very pleased with Brave last year and we have booked this year. They give Samira Hotel villa owners and guests discount

Well, usually we use Abi and have never (touch wood) had a problem and always been at Dalaman waiting for us. However they are advertising the transfer from Antalya at £150, which is why I started looking elsewhere. Think we will probably go for Brave.

Bear in mind if using a transfer service outside of Kalkan and you don't know where you are staying they may not either.....I recall people booking another transfer company last year and being driven around for some time before finding their hotel, in this case a hotel which is well known to all Kalkan people.

Now that the good people on EK have pointed us in the right direction we are not now going to use an outside company. Anyway, all 3 couples in our party know where their respective properties are so, it would not have been a problem.
As for using Adda, some of our party have used them in the past on a few occasions and were most concerned about excess speed and reckless driving.

Also looking for how to get from Antalya to Kalkan. There were 3 people. Found a company - http://kiwitaxi.com/Turkey/Antalya->Калкан. Slightly more expensive some carriers, but the machine is clean, the water in the saloon drinking. We liked. Suddenly someone come in handy.
