Onur Air.
« on: May 25, 2009, 01:27:48 PM »
A word of warning, just got back from kalkan great time with my brother and two mates who have never beento Turkey before and loved kalkan,we bought 4 small cans of Efes on the flight, how much ?
                                                     SIXTEEN POUNDS !!!!!!!!!!
If want a drink on the plane buy something in your uk airport, the flight was fine, but drinks as bad as Dalaman airport.
roll august.

omigod...£16 for 4 small cans of Efes. This is something new by Onur - the prices have always been reasonable on board. Can you actually drink what you buy in duty free on the flight? I was stopped from taking a Starbucks coffee on board last year...although we did buy water and snacks from Boots.
Better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt :)

Hiya K4E,I dont think you are allowed to drink your duty free on the plane,as far as I know, but we had a couple of bottles of coke so we sneaked a few vodka and cokes, cos we did not want to pay £16 for 4 small beers again.(Im glad it wasnt my round !  :o  ;D

Their tea and coffe was no cheaper than the beer but I noticed that it worked out cheaper if you paid in lira. Their prices are given on the card in Euros and that is why it works out dearer this year when it''s converted to sterling.

This annoys me about Dalaman airport,  why is everything priced in Euros??? when they are not even in the EU!!!

I''m going to rely on the fact that gin looks like water!!!!
Can''t believe you stay in bed till midday Neil. I''m up for the early morning sun...then if I''m particularly fragile, I get under the parasol and sleep for an hour or so during the hottest part of the day, then back out for a few hours when it starts to cool down - usually glass of something alcoholic accompanies this part of the day :o.
I guess you were just in Kalkan to PAAARRRTTTYYYY!!!! Bet you''re up earlier when you''re back with your BH  ;D ;D

Hiya K4E & Mr Lizard,I was out of bed before noon,I like to sit on the balcony and have afew cups of coffee
and come round slowly, same at home,I work permanent nights so 12-1pm is my normal wake up time and in a week it takes some time to adjust, and I dont normally eat breakfast, night workers are very strange critters, but saying that, the day, most nights didnt end until 4 am ish, usually with a bowl of spicy lentil soup in the soup kitchen then a vodka on the balcony.  ;D >:D

It''s going to be glorious in UK on Sat and Sun, so get those white lizardy legs out, BL and get a bit of colour on the old scales
Neil, totally understand how the body clock thing works - my BH worked nights for years (happily no longer!) You are forgiven for missing early morning sun ...however I just knew the Mrs wouldn''t let you sleep in for that long  ;D
