Couldn't resist booking 2014 flights. £226 each including bags and seats. happy with that, a good mornings work before packing for third and final visit of 2013 tomorrow.

When are your bargain flights for?

Jet2 seem much more agressive right now. A couple of years ago, we bought seats after we returned and paid over £300 each. After Xmas, they dropped and never got back up to what we had paid in the previous November. The 10% sale was also only on in the Spring. Now, they seem to run it continuously.

What's happened?!  Monarch have started flying to Dalaman out of LBA twice a week.....so now they have some good competition.

Antler, we have booked flights out of Leeds Bradford for end of April 2014 and with Extra Legroom and baggage allowance (1 between us) it worked out at £218 each, a bargain we thought.  This is a great time to go out as the season is just starting, weather is usually great and it is a real tonic to look forward to after our British winter!

Wow, you bagged yourself a good deal!

Jet2 pricing is currently some of the best I have ever seen. In September, you can go out on a Wednesday for £76 one way and back a couple of weeks later for around £109 - plus all of the bits, of course, like a seat and checking in.

Monarch are pushing hard offering all sorts of discounts including £25 per person, I believe. They go from Leeds on Tues & Saturdays so you can go to Dalaman from LBA virtually every day of the week, in 2014.

I won't get any sense out of our Young Ones until the cold weather bites and to book a large villa for Mrs A and I is expensive, so we will have to wait until they get their act together in the winter. I will just have to be happy reading my blog again and again to get my Kalkan fix!

Another Jet2 tip.......if there's two travelling and both taking checked baggage, add both bags to one person. You save a fiver or so and that's a pint or 2!!
