Jet 2 have released their early season flights for 2013.
Just looked at June 2013 and they are coming in at about £700 for the two of us - with extra leg rooms seats but no meals. Not that cheap

Have the days of cheap flights gone forever....

Yes, we have just had an email re this too. Like you the price is around £700 for both of us - not sure whether to wait as going from Leeds saves us money going to Manchester

They've been out for about a week. There will be 3 flights a week from LBA - the extra one being Saturday.

I reckon the prices will drop when the other carriers release their schedules..........at least I hope so!

Wow, we always wait for the Easyjet release and our flights this year (May and Oct) were about £110 each return including 20kg luggage each! Leg room is better than Thomas Cook and Thhomson. No meal admittedly, but then I would never place much value on an airline meal!!

I totally agree with you...Easyjet for us £110 including luggage and SB...no dinner, but i don't like Whiskas in gravy

I agree Easyjet if you are quick is the best value by far, our flights this year were £96 April, £98 June and £106 July all return with no baggage.

However, you do need to be quick the very cheapest flights are snapped up within an hour or two of release. They are usually released about 8:00am and by the lunchtime will be £150 plus.

The food on Easyjet is expensive and pretty disgusting, far better to take a picnic (and a couple of minitures to dilute the tonic) with you.

We're booked on easyJet for June and they are by far the cheapest flights. We flew with Jet2 last September - late deal that was cheaper than EJ - and I really liked being be able to choose our seats in advance and not have that dash (even with SB) to get the extra leg room seats. We usually buy our food before boarding but the Jet2 food looked quite nice last year and if they'd been cheaper this year we would have booked with them as its a better flight experience.

EJ are bringing in pre booked seats on some routes this year..this is with a view to extending it fully if it proves popular and runs smoothly....will prices increase with the excuse of Admin charge?mmmmmm??

It was 10 November 2011 for this September.

We got our outward flights for next Tuesday, 15 May, for £61.49 inc hold bag and credit card charge. (£245.96 for 4 of us.)

You can use this service - http://www.lowcostroutes.com/en/flights_alert?airline=14 - that sends you an email as soon as your flight is released by easyJet. Just enter the airline, your route, flight date and email and wait for the alert!

I use it, but I also double check their website manually about once a week, just to be sure!

Usually its in September but you do have to be quick. We are here at the moment on £97 return flights booked at 9:00am the morning they went on sale; by lunchtime they were £150 and £180 by the evening.

Flight scanner appear to have the best deals but when you actually go to book with the airline the prices go up considerably
