Last time I looked into this was a couple of years ago so the info might be out of date... I believe this would need to be done like this, taxi from airport to Dalaman , bus from Dalaman to Fethiye then another bus from Fethiye to Kalkan.

I have a very responsible position...
When anything goes wrong I’m responsible!!

Hobbo is correct, that is the only way you can do it unless you are with Turkish and they have a free bus from and into Fethiye twice a day, morning and evening.

You have to wonder why the province governors don't allow a local dolmus to operate in and out of the airport?
There - over there, there are.            To - Going to
Their - belongs to them.                     Too - In addition, Also
They're - Short for they are.

Pedant! me?

There is a bus service which runs from Dalaman Airport to Fethiye. it is operated By Havas and it goes from the domestic terminal every hour to the bus station in Fethiye.

From there you can take the bus to Kalkan. There is an hourly service.

Havas have a website which gives bus times. It is in Turkish.

If the times work with your flights, this is an easy and very inexpensive way of getting to Kalkan, total cost less than £ 10.00

I've done it often.

Wow! That is brilliant Kk, I asked in the agents office in Fethiye about that bus and was given the info about the bus that connects with the THY flights twice a day.
Having seen the Havas bus leaving the airport , I assumed that this was probably for airport workers. (Just goes to show that you should never assume, otherwise you make an 'ass' out of 'u' and 'me'.)
I wish that this info had been available to me 2 weeks ago, when I could have booked a return Thomson flight out of Bournemouth for £98.98! The £110 cost of transfers was the deciding factor in the end.

From the Havas website HERE, it states that shuttle buses leave Dalaman Airport for Fethiye at 02:30, 05:45, 06:15, 08:30, 09:00, 10:15, 11:15, 11:30, 16:30, 19:15, 21:30, which are based on the times of domestic airlines.
Might be worth a shot if your flight happen to tie in with these times.

korderekid, many thanks for that info, could be useful, how easy is it to get to the domestic terminal from the international terminal? I have done the Dom-Int airside when arriving at Dalaman via Istanbul but never landside, is there a shuttle or walkway?

Yes - easy and quite quick to walk - 5-10 mins....turn right when you come out of the Int terminal - down the walk walk way and along the road to the domestic terminal and you come across the car part and bus area before the domestic terminal itself!!

Many thanks to Kk, B&J & F for the info. I had it on my list of things to do, after I finished painting one of my garage walls, to look up the Havas site. Unfortunately working and senior moments seem to go hand in hand these days and I had completely forgotten.
