atm at dalaman airport

I was wondering if there was an ATM at dalaman airport

Yes there is a DenizBank machine outside the arrivals area

If it gives anything like the rate of exchange that they give in the airport I wouldn't bother as it is about 18% below the going rate and would wait until you get to Kalkan or would change a little bit in England just to get you going.

All the ATM machines at the airport give a very poor rate of exchange.  If you just want to change a small amount of money the rate difference is bearable but it's better to wait until you arrive in Kalkan and access any of the 8 ATM's here, all of which operate 24/7 if you are changing large amounts.

They don't.I think you may have been given bum information.The rate is determined by your bank.Ie the official rate less a loading charge,typically around 15% plus a transaction fee approx £1.50.That is why the nationwide Flexaccount card is such good value.No loading & no transaction fee.

I have just checked my statement for June. The rate at Dalaman atm was 2.246 on the 1st June, it was the same in a Kalkan atm and restaurant the following day and seemed to move between 2.24 and 2.30 throughout the week. So no, you do not get a poorer rate at a Dalaman ATM

never used the ATM at Dalaman so can't comment on the rates, however my concern is that it is not a "staffed bank" so if the horror of your card being swallowed happened where would you go to retrieve your card?
