anyone travelled with pegasus?

just wanted to know what the visa situstion is when travelling with pegasus in to dalaman via istanbul. do we buy the visa at istanbul or when we get to dalaman. does the istanbul to dalaman flight go into the new or the old terminal during the winter months. a couple we met said that they could not buy a visa in the old terminal when they arrived and had to go to meis a few days later before the visa expired. any feedback would be appreciated. thanks

I did the journey last year, the it was:


Book luggage through to Dalaman.
Visa and passport control at Istanbul.
Internal flight Istanbul > Dalaman arrives at Domestic Airport.

IMPORTANT BIT... you then need to spot an airport officer on the lookout for stray foreigners and follow him/her across to the International Airport where you collect your bags.

Obviously car hire / transfer driver will need to be at the International Arrivals

PS I was one of a few who missed the officer and waited and waited for my bags at the domestic arrivals!!

Sorry .. Visa at Istambul just befor passport contol (where you enter the country) bags are booked to Dalaman hence have to go through customs at Dalaman (this is only available it the  international airport.

  am flying nxt week with pegasus stansted to istanbul then a connecting flight to dalaman. looking at the pegasus page it states 20kilo hold but only 15kilo for the domestic flight. does anyone know if that means we can only have 15kilo for the whole journey or as we have booked the connecting domestic flight we can have 20 kilo? thanks

Done that same route many times, always with almost 20kg each and had baggage booked all the way through to Dalaman.  Only slight delay is bus from Dalaman domestic to international terminal to collect bags but never had a problem with overweight bags.

 having copleted the outward bound journey with pegasus to dalaman via istanbul with no problems or delays, can anyone advise me which of the dalaman airports we need to check into for our return journey via istanbul on sunday? we were very impressed with the flights and connections. we left stansted at 1pm and were at home in kalkan at 11.15 pm!

Check into domestic terminal - they will check in your baggage all the way through to the UK!
